The Final Battle

My Honors Thesis Defense

I spent four intense months writing my thesis titled "Exiting Afghanistan: The Challenges to the Withdrawal of the US Troops from Afghanistan" while completing my studies in America. Defending this thesis was a significant milestone for me, as my time in the U.S. sparked my interest in this critical topic. The experience was invaluable, deepening my understanding of international relations and U.S. foreign policy.

My Ticket to the USA

Global UGRAD 2022

I received the opportunity from the U.S. Department of State to participate in the Global Undergraduate Program (Global UGRAD 2021-2022) in the Political Science Department at the State University of New York, Plattsburgh. It was an unforgettable experience with amazing friends from all over the world and an excellent education. Studying in my dream country, I discovered the beauty of America's diversity. I cherish the memories and hope to return one day.

The New Community

Chip Mong Scholarship

I got accepted into the Chip Mong Scholarship, which provides financial support for Grade A and B students of the National Exam. The scholarship includes training programs and internship opportunities. We engaged with business experts through a Mentor-Mentee program and went on company tours to observe their operations. It was an amazing four-year journey with the company and fellow scholarship grantees. Additionally, we participated in community service, sharing tips for excelling in the high school national exam.

From Uncertainty to Clarity

After graduation, I spent three stressful months exploring various opportunities and universities in Cambodia. Determined to make an informed decision, I conducted extensive research. Ultimately, I chose to apply to the Department of International Studies at the Institute of Foreign Languages, Royal University of Phnom Penh—the only school I applied to. Despite facing a very challenging entrance exam, I managed to pass, guided by my interest in this major and desire to expand my knowledge in this field.

High School Journey Completed

Mission Accomplished

Throughout my time at Sovannaphumi School, I immersed myself in a diverse educational experience that balanced academics, extracurricular activities, and personal growth. Engaging in various school events, joining clubs, and working on projects with peers helped me develop strong teamwork and leadership skills. The demanding curriculum pushed me to excel in mathematics, science, and literature. My commitment and hard work were rewarded with a Grade B on the national exam in 2018, a notable achievement in my academic path.

Since secondary school, I've participated in various competitions like Public Speaking, Debate, Presentation, Storytelling, and Spelling Bees. I've achieved numerous rewards, including Champion of JCI National Public Speaking Competition on SDGs, Champion of High School Speaking Contest on Digital Technology, two consecutive years as Sovannaphumi School Spelling Bees Champion, and ranked 2nd in the National Debate Competition on STEM Education and Economics. These accomplishments have honed my skills and fueled my passion for excellence.

Second Half of High School 2017

Self-Discovery Stage

During the second half of my senior year in high school, I began visiting various universities to explore their programs and career opportunities. Thanks to fully funded programs provided by my school for top scorers, I toured institutions such as Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, Payap University, Royal University of Phnom Penh, and many more. These visits helped me understand different academic paths and prepare for my journey after graduation, ensuring I made informed decisions about my future education and career.

Primary School in Cambodia | 2008

Sovannaphumi School

I moved back to Cambodia in 2008 and attended Sovannaphumi School in Phnom Penh City. Since it was my first time learning Khmer, I had to restart my education. Despite this challenge, I quickly adapted and consistently ranked as one of the top students in my class until high school, demonstrating my dedication and academic excellence.

Primary School in Thailand | 2003

Boonkumratbumroong School

I spent my childhood in Thailand from 1999 to 2008, attending Boonkumratbumroong School. During these formative years, I immersed myself in Thai culture and education, which allowed me to develop Thai language skills just like a native speaker. This experience not only enriched my linguistic abilities but also gave me a deep understanding of Thai traditions and values.
